The Art of the Start, redux
As I start again
“The great aim of education is not learning, but action.”
It has been a while since I put words to the internet. Much less automated to your inbox. For some in the know, I had a conversation with Henry Kaestner about the idea of starting a podcast, and he commented that he was about to get going with his own, now known as Faith Driven Entrepreneur. That’s how bad I am about promotion—to a deeper degree, my lack of being in the public ether.
I grew up in a small town as the youngest of 3 by several years. I tend to talk too much because my mind races. I enjoy listening to people and learning from others. My natural rhythm is not to proclaim. That said, these are excuses. Some of the achievements in my early life were creative outlets for me. Theater, competitive speech, golf, movies and television, as well as learning in general.
Now I find it important to share if anything for people to NOT say “I’m not sure what Andrew does.” I’m tired of being a generalist jack in a specialist society. My realization is being who I am is authentic, true, and available now. And this will give you some value (I hope), and feedback for me to improve, grow, and become more. More professional. More thoughtful. More helpful. More faithful. Become more like the person I strain ahead to become.
Thanks for saying hello. Seeing an article. Reading a note, or even commenting and contributing a voice. We start over every day. As much as we are the same, over time and thousands of restarts, we see life’s work on us. My question is how does this form me? And make me better.
